Memory Garden - "Mirage"

Incredible album by the doomsters Memory Garden, who continue the doom tradition, exactly from the point where Candlemass stoped it. Fabulous melodies from the very heavy guitars and foremost vocals by Stefan Berglund, who now is awarded as one of the best. Behind the drums, Tom Bjorn is found, who impresses just like in "Songs For The Apocalypse" of Memento Mori. Production by the God Mike Wead, who raises even more higher the quality of this new album. Also, tremendous solos which were maybe absent from the previous albums. Definitely the best doom album of the year and one of the best in Heavy Metal for 2000.

PS: Songs like Revelation, River of Sludge and My Pain are not written that easily...
