- "Enslaved"(Euphonius / Voices Of Wonder)
Another great Greek band in the veins of old Nightfall (Macabre Sunsets era) but with the addition of a personal style... These Athenians play progressive (in parts) death/dark metal that have both brutal and atmospheric parts. In the press info one can read that Vanity have the "highly enjoyable Greek sound we all love from bands such as Rotting Christ and Septic Flesh". I will disagree with this comment. They DO have a Greek sound, but more similar to the one of old Nightfall, as I have mentioned before. "Enslaved" consists of 9 tracks from which the first one is a very beatiful piano intro... The main songs are strong enough with hateful lyrics, enfolded in a good artwork. It's good to see that there are still some people who play good music in our country! Worthy for the fans of the aforementioned early/middle 90's Greek war/death metal...
