BLADE OF SPIRIT is one of the best but unfortunately also one if the most ignored bands in the Hellenic metal scene. They already have a big history in the underground scene of our country and this is their last work. What can I say about it? It is once again excellent! While other bands create a name only because they have good communication with people who help them, BLADE OF SPIRIT are looking for a contract, which they deserved to have since the beginning of their existence. "Shadow's Race" is a work full of power and above all maturity. This band honestly doesn't have anything to get envy of any other band in their scene. Nice ideas and melodies, great strength in the compositions and great performing. What else would a fan of good metal music ask from a band? It is time at last after all those demo and promo releases, for BLADE OF SPIRIT to make the next big step in their music carrier. In this work there are included 8 tracks plus an intro and an outro, and they are all just as they ought to be, from a band in order to create a remarkable work. Just listen to "New Age Of The Lost" or "Nameless" and "Naked Of Life" and you will understand what I mean. But don't even thing that the rest of the material is in a lower level than these tracks. As I mentioned above the whole work stands in the same level from the beginning until the end. These are the tracks that I chose as the best ones from the first listening. I don't know what more to say about this CD. I will just hope that BLADE OF SPIRIT will at last fine their way and they'll manage to get their head over the mass of the underground because they are a band that really knows how to create true, honest and proud metal music. I will not rate them with the highest rate just because I know that their next work will be an improved one as they always have done in their works until now through all these years.
