Blade Of Spirit is probably one of the most hardworking heavy metal bands here in Greece. Since 1997 they keep releasing demos and promos, all of them of pretty good quality I have to say. "Journey To Fadelife" is their latest release. It contains two tracks and again it comes with lovely artwork - packaging. Musically Blade Of Spirit have created through the years a personal sound. Based upon traditional heavy metal / power metal, they graft their sound with some modern elements and even a few gothic touches. This makes the outcome interesting and definitely not boring! Nice riffs and solos are dressing the compositions while the deep and warm voice of Manos works blends nicely! Both compositions are of average to extensive lengthily (from 4 to 6 minutes) with many changes in the rhythm. Personally I liked more the second tracks "Reflections Of You", it gave me a creepy feeling! The demo comes with a very good production. I strongly believe that Blade Of Spirit are ready to release a full CD. They have what it takes while their work so far shows a professionalism not often met in Greek bands.
