In December 2000, Mat (Bass), Pascal (Guitars) and Sargon (Vocals) join their forces with Alex (Guitars) of Inward Mind, and Andrew (Drums) after the rupture of Sarganas (Black-Death Metal) to create a more Death Metal oriented project with some 70's influences. As Pascal leaves the band in the Summer 2001 for personal reasons, Xavier, also from Inward Mind, replaces him in September bringing more techno-death influences in the band's way of composing. The line-up definitely set up, the band is baptized 7th Nemesis and the bases of the conceptual identity of the group are forged: 7th Nemesis shall be a journey. A journey within violence, hatred and insanity. Its purpose is to reflect humanity's violent nature by dropping the useless masks of normality, to spread the venom of deliquescence and spew forth our disgust, to pervert and denaturise the foundations of civilization… In a few months, the quintet composes the 9 titles that shall form the first album: "Violentia Imperatrix Mundi". It shall be an initiatory course, a teaching of the 9 principles of the Enemy. Thus, the album as a whole shall be a delicate blend of Death Metal's brutality, Black Metal's emotional torture and 70's psychedelic tunes. After building up its visual identity, handled by B-Lial (Hybreed's graphic designer and webmaster), the band entered its own studio (Hybreed's Studio) in April 2002, to record the 3 titles promo CD.
