Kranium is one of the oldest bands from the Peruvian Metal scene. It starts in the early 1984 when Eloy Arturo and Mick Santos decided to create Murder, a band that performed a kind of Heavy Rock with some Andean Folk music. The name was later changed to Kranium and their music style became Heavy Rock.

In 1991 they recorded their first live demo called "Sociedad o Suciedad". In 1992 they recorded their first official demo tape called "Mundo Interior" with a new line-up. Kranium begins to create a new type of music, mixing elements of Progressive Rock, defining this as Doom Folk Metal. With this new style they recorded "Dos Sonrisas, una Lágrima" (EP), getting excellent critics due to the use of Andean instruments. 1999 is the year of this long-awaited debut album called "Testimonios" that will rapture with every songs.
