On october 30th our brother, friend and drummer of MASACRE passed away victim of a serious illness which affected him so much. MASACRE is in grief missing the talent of an extraordinary musician who always was proud of this band and defended the ideals of Death Metal everywhere. The last recording of MASACRE was edited by the spanish label Xtreem Music. It includes a bonus track "Conflicts for Peace" which actually is a new version of that song, recorded and produced in 2004 (it was previously released with the Requiem C.D. in 1991).

The C.D. Sacro recently was edited by the label Obliteration Records in
Japan. It is a honor for MASACRE to be released in that country for the
second time. It includes 4 bonus tracks, three of them extracted from the
preproduction of the C.D. "Muerte Verdadera Muerte" and one live track
(Orgasmos Oscuros).

The long awaited digipack editions of the E.P. "Barbarie y Sangre en Memoria de Cristo" and CD "Requiem" are out now. This "Barbarie..." version contains the four classic songs from the original E.P. plus three live tracks recorded in Medellin. This enhanced CD also contains two full length videos which can be viewed on your PC or Macintosh. The CD was edited by the colombian label HateWorks (formerly known as Decade Records). The edition of the "Requiem" CD contains the eleven originals tracks plus 3 bonus from the E.P. "Ola de Violencia".

PRODUCTION OF "TOTAL DEATH" FINISHED
"Total Death", the new CD of MASACRE is finished already. This CD was recorded at Sirio Producciones in Bogota, and produced, mixed and mastered by Erik Rutan (Hate Eternal) in Tampa-Florida, which gives a total guarantee in its quality, the same acquired by such bands as Hate Eternal, Krisiun (Conquerors of Armageddon) and Internecine (The Book of Lambs). This CD is a devastating masterpiece of Death Metal and it could be considered as the best recording of MASACRE in terms of composition and audio quality. This new recording is going to be out soon edited by the label Hateworks. Wait for more news at this site soon. ABOUT THE SHOWS OF MASACRE IN MEDELLIN, TULUA AND CALI
In June 22nd we did a show in Medellin for the Resurrection Live Festival II, there were 6 bands from this city and one from Pereira (TWILIGHT GLIMMER). MASACRE and TWILIGHT GLIMMER represented the extreme Death Metal trend. We played for an hour in front of 800 fans who had not received our songs and energy since last December. MASACRE played in Tulua in June 27th. We had not played there for 12 years. There were 400 fans and we played with local bands that showed a great quality. This was a great concert and we want to say thanks to all the fans and the scene there. In June 29th MASACRE played in Cali in front of 1000 fans for the well known festival "Cruzada del Fuego". The fans and the promoters showed they are becoming one of the best places in Colombia for shows of extreme music. Congratulations Cali, thanks a lot for your support. DAVID, R.I.P. BROTHER
MASACRE wants to say we mourn for the absourd death of our friend David Rairan guitarrist of the band PURULENT. We would like to send our condolences to his family and friends. It is hard to lose an excellent musician and a brilliant person, but for you friend and for all the Death Metal fans we will keep on fighting to show the colombian scene to the world. He died with his boots on, doing what he liked the most, playing with his band on a stage. After this tragic accident on the road, rest in peace DAVID.

MASACRE RECORDED A NEW CD
MASACRE finished the recording of their new CD "Total Death". It was done at Sirio Studios in Bogota City between March the 31st and April the 19th. The band is so satisfied with the quality achieved because it reaches all the expectations the band had and gives all the professional quality all of our fans deserve. The sound is better than the previous and excellent "Muerte Verdadera Muerte" and goes farther in our musical approach as a more brutal and devastating Death Metal, clearly defined by the title of the album "Total Death". The next step will be mixing and mastering the CD by a well-known musician and producer of the Death Metal scene of the world to achieve the best sound posible. We hope the CD will be out in August or September and the fans could get this Death Metal piece at the stores. MASACRE'S VIDEO CLIP
MASACRE finally edited their first video clip with the director Fernando Puerta. This video clip is for the song "Violentada" from the CD "Muerte Verdadera Muerte" and it contains images from some shows of the "Death Truly Tour" 2001- 2002 in cities like Pereira, Cúcuta, Bucaramanga, Bogotá and Medellin and it includes crude images of the violence we live day by day in Colombia, one of the countries mercilessly hit by this phenomenon in the world. With this video clip MASACRE wants to show the crude life we live and the war and desperation of all our peoples. This video clip will be rotating soon in the TV shows and will appear as a bonus track CD ROM in the next edition of the CD "Muerte Verdadera Muerte". Enjoy it !!!!
MASACRE IN BOGOTA
On March the 29th MASACRE was part o a brutal concert in Bogota with the bands Neurosis and Ingrand. It was a great show with an excellent organization, and the bands showed the best of them and MASACRE played some songs of the upcoming CD "Total Death" On April the 5th there was a private MASACRE show in the bar Lord Gamba in Bogota. The concert was full of energy with the most extreme and brutal fans of the band sharing a great night with 22 songs of pure Death Metal extracted from all de CDs of the band. MASACRE wants to say tanks to all the fans who supported the band at those shows and to all the people involved in the organization of the concerts (Rock Symphony, El Redoblante, Bar Lord Gamba and Rider Producciones).
BARBARIE Y SANGRE EN MEMORIA DE CRISTO
The Mini LP Barbarie y Sangre en Memoria de Cristo a collectors vinyl masterpiece edited en 1993 by the label Morbida Producciones will be out in July in CD version edited by the label Hateworks (formerly known as Decade Records). This edition will contain two live bonus tracks extracted from the Sacro tour, new design and pictures.

MASACRE IN CITY TV AND FLAHSTRON MAGAZINE
During the recording session in Bogota, MASACRE did a great press job, appearing in the TV Show "Mucha Musica" (Much) on the TV Channel City TV and doing an interview for the program "El Videodromo" on the same channel. Besides, the magazine Flahstron went to the recording studio and interviewed the band, took some pictures and prepared the next edition which is going to be special and will include a poster of the band.

"MUERTE VERDADERA MUERTE" VINYL VERSIONS
MASACRE waits for the version of “Muerte Verdadera Muerte” (Death Truly Death) in Vinyl, which is going to be edited in Norway by the label Apocalyptic Empire in June 2003 and it will preserve the artistic design and cover art from the original version in CD (2001).
Also the label Hurling Metal Records wants to edit “Muerte Verdadera Muerte” in Vinyl in Argentina but the date for this release is not sure yet. Wait for more about this news at this web site.

MASACRE has finished now the pre-production of the new CD “Total Death” at “Nebuloza Studios” in Medellin with the engineering of Alvaro Alvarez. The CD will be recorded in Bogotá at “Sirio Producciones Studios” in March or April 2003. The band prepares to record a devasting CD because the fans of the most Brutal Death Metal deserve it.

GREETINGS TO ALL OUR FANS WORLDWIDE!!!
There is a new year beginning but first of all we want to say thank you to all of you who made 2002 a year so special for us. We were very glad to visit our neighbor countries Ecuador and Venezuela. In Ecuador we played in Quito a great show and we gave everything of us, and the fans were incredible. We want to thank all the people who made possible that meeting with our fans, the promoters, magazines, radio stations, etc which played our music and interviewed us letting us get in contact with all the deathbangers there.
In Venezuela it was the fourth time we played there since 1993. Every time we go there we are surprised with the fans who enjoy death metal more and more. We played with two great bands like Kraken and Arkangel, both bands inspired us to play the beast. Thanks again in Venezuela to all the people involved in the show, our best wishes to you.
During last year we also toured in Colombia, playing two times in Bogota, Armenia, Bucaramanga, Cucuta, Caldas and ending with two shows in our city Medellin, playing of course in front of the fans born in the most violent country of the world. Thanks a lot to all the people who contacted MASACRE and made everything possible for us, and thanks to all the bands we played with, you are great, but specially thanks to you the fans.
This year 2003 promises too many good things for our band, we will be recording our next CD called TOTAL DEATH singing the lyrics in english because we want all the world to undestand what is happening here, it will be a devastating and brutal CD of pure DEATH FUCKING METAL!!!
