Pamela can't remember a time when she didn't love music. She started playing her sister's piano lessons at the age of three and began formal training at the age of five because the instructor wouldn't allow her to begin at an earlier age. The piano lessons lasted on and off for about eight years with different instructors, but Pamela never learned to read music because she could play what she heard and wouldn't take the trouble to learn the art of notation. At the age of 14, she became interested in rock and metal music and learned to play bass. Soon after, she started working with some bands in the Orlando, Florida area, but never seemed to find anything that fit. In 1990, she moved to north Florida and played live gigs with Crosscut, working with drummer Scott Phillips (former CREED drummer), vocalist Sheryl Goodbread, and guitarist Tim Tyree. Due to differences in musical goals, Pamela left the band in 1992.

After leaving Crosscut, Pamela had no real desire to play music publicly but she continued to play both bass and piano for personal enjoyment. This was the trend for more than a decade until she was taken to a Cryptameria practice in November, 2003. After attending and participating in several practices and agreeing to perform keyboard tracks on the EP recording in April, Pamela officially became a member of Cryptameria in early 2004 and is contributing to the band by writing music and lyrics with the other members.
