When I first listened to this album I immediately thought of a
Rhapsody or Thy Majestie clone, but after a while I began to see it in another way. I
don't want to spend to many words on this record, for it is a very nice piece of metal
that it's worth listening to. Some part may sound very familiar to you, as it has
something of Blind Guardians older albums, like "Imaginations from the Other
Side" or "Somewhere Far Beyond" but still it keeps its own style.
Marshall's cover art also reminds me of my landsmen's releases (by the way, is that Sean
Connery on the front cover?! He looks pretty much like him). The voice of the vocalist
sound rather normal; nothing special in that, but in the variety of the songs you have to
give them a B+. Spain has proven again, that it is a worthy companion to germanic metal. |
