What a great album! Ronnie
James Dio is really one of the greatest in metal and with this new "Killing the
Dragon" he confirms that.
After the not so well received "Magica", this new one filled with classic 80's
DIO sound like in "Holy Diver" or "Lock up the Wolves" vindicates the
classic metal with such a powerful yet melodic release. It's needed to applause the
performance of Doug Aldrich (guitars) and Simon Wright (Drums); who play in a really
inspired way with that hard rock "feeling" only they can achieve. Dio's well
known vocal quality ( Wich for his age is amazingly great) united to this great musicians
produce new classics like "Killing The Dragon", "Guilty",or the
fabulous "Push".The vintage atmosphere of this album is what we all wanted to
hear from DIO. If you didn't liked the last Dio releases you'll love "Killing the
Dragon" simply a must have cd. DIO is back!!
