We interviewed the great brazilian band ANGRA, a band everybody knows because of their great albums like"Angels Cry", "Holy Land" and their unique power progressive metal style. Now, with new members and a brand new album "Rebirth",here´s what Edu Falaschi, singer of the band answered.We want to thank Gaby Sisti from NEMS enterprises for her help to conduct this interview, you rule!

1.-Has the line-up changes afected the band´s style?
I think that we could keep the essence of Angra, I could say that we found a good balance between the traditional an the new caracteristics from Angra. When you listen to the new album you can say: "Yes, it´s Angra!!!"


2.-Knowing how prestigious the band is worlwide, do you think that this new album will satisfy Angra fans everywhere?
We are very happy with the results, we could feel around the world that the biggest part of Angra´s fans approved the new album, we received a lot of awesome reviews about the new album.

3.-Angra´s style is very diverse, but you can find a big difference between the first albums and the latest ones like "Fireworks", how will be the band´s style from now on, maybe like in one of your previous releases or a brand new one?
In this new album "Rebirth" we intended to bring back the bases of Angra, and we tried to keep the essence of Angra, but to the next albums we´re gonna compose something different, but, of course heavy metal stuff.

4.-You´re making quite an extense tour, how has the audience behaved so far?
We began the Rebirth tour here in Brazil, and it´s wonderfull everybody is singing both the new an the old songs, we can feel the happiness in the people´s faces, the audience is going crazy.

5.-Are you musically satisfied with "Rebirth"?
Yes, we worked like a team, Dennis Ward was perfect as the producer and like a friend too. The songs are very clean, heavy, for me it´s perfect. In my opinion this is an album that I can listen to all day long without getting bored.

6.-Since you made it out of your country, lots of people has interested themselves in brazilian bands, are you supporting any in particular because of your experience?
Yes, we know a lot of brazilian bands, and we always try to help some bands, I believe that the brazilian heavy metal scene is growing.

7.-After finishing the tour, wich are band plans for the future?
We´re gonna record the next album, to be released in 2003, but we are thinking about a mini album or DVD and Video-Clip to be released along 2002

8.-How important is this album in Angra´s career?
For us this album is very important ´cause we need to prove that Angra is alive, we need to prove that the essence of Angra remains.I believe that this is the most important time of our lives.

9.-¿Any final words for our readers?
I´m very happy with Angra´s situation, mainly ´cause many of Angra fans are satisfied with "REBIRTH". I want to hear everybody singing the new and the old songs with me in the next Angra show!!!
