We contacted the argentinian band AZEROTH, a band everybody will soon know as the new prodigies of progressive metal in Argentina and maybe in the world. Hereīs what Fernando Ricciardulli, the bassist answered in name of the band.

1.-Who where you influenced by?
It would be impossible to name just a couple of bands, īcause I think every music we hear, influences us, since Heavy metal to other stuff like celtic music, etc..

2.-How did you contacted Bauerfiend for the mixing process and Eric Phillipe for the cover of your debut album?
When we were dealing our contract with NEMS,one of the things they offered us was this: to mix the tracks in europe with a big producer, and to make the cover with someone as big as this last one.... they offered us Mikka Karmila, Sasha Paeth or Charlie Bauerfeind, and we choosed this last one, because we believe he works better the guitar sound, and he is used to deal with bands with a more agressive sound!!!

Steel Attack

3.-Are the lyrics based on a special topic or are just inspiration?
It depends on whoīs lyrics: the lyrics I write, are more introspective, while Juanīs have a more social background... we donīt say "well, letīs write about this...", it surges naturaly, and if we all like it, thatīs it!

4.-What represented to you, to work with such great musicians like A. Barilari & Christian Bertoncelli, and now with Hansi Kürsch?
Christian has been a friend of us since long time ago, it was great to work with him, being a great guy, he is also a great singer, he offered himself to help us in the voice recording process; In the other hand, Adrian is a great professional, although, I wasnīt sure if his voice would fit in our songs, since itīs very different to what he does on Rata Blanca or Alianza, but everything went just ok... the best part was getting a permanent singer (heīs with us since june from last year), Diego Valdez, owner of a wide and magnific vocal record, and with a great stage command...Hansi is just a master...personaly itīs a dream to work with him... when weīre done with all the instrumental and voice recordings, weīll send him the tapes to Germany, so he can work on the chorus arrenges and on January 2002, he comes to Argentina a couple of weeks to work on studio, the recording of those choruses, and maybe weīll make him sing a song on a duet with Diego ... itīs gonna be really great to count with the support of someone who works at his creative limit, and it will also help us to grow as a band!

6.-Do you plan to release your album in europe, besides Spain?
The new album( the one weīll start recording on september/october this year), wich will be released on march 2002, itīs going to be recorded on two versions: one in spanish & the other in english, because the reviews we received on other countrys were great ( "Rock Hard" gave us 8/10, "Kerrang" 5/6, "Rock Brigade" & "Roadie crew" from Brasil gave us 9/10, etc...),and even knowing that the cd in spanish has been already released on Japan, we know that the best way to be recognized by a not spanish-talking audience is singing in english!, and we believe we have as much sound power and all that, as any european band , so... weīll see what happens!!!.

7.-Do you plan to make a tour in the near future(Argentina or abroad)?
Nowadays weīre working 100% on the tracks of our forthcoming album... after the show with Helloween, we decided to stop the shows, in order to rehearse the new songs; we are going to play on a big festival on August as one of the headliners, and after finishing the album we plan to make a minitour around our country.

9.-Any final words?
