We contacted BLODEN-WEDD from Chile, a band everybody has been talking about since they kicked ass in the Rhapsody concert in Chile. Hereīs what Dan Elbelman, voice and guitar of Bloden-Wedd answered in name of the band.

1.-Where does the name "Bloden-Wedd" comes from?
Well,we were searching for originality, an exclusive name, wich also would have power and greatness. And BLODEN-WEDD, wich means "Gods of Awakening" has all those characteristics we were searching for.

2.-When does Bloden-Wedd begins?
The project begins in 1994, but is until March 1996,when we make our live debut, when it gets professional.

3.- Which are the band plans for the near future?
In first place, to release our third album, called "Raging Planet" and after that, promoting the LP. It's also confirmed, that we will be sharing stage with Yngwie Malmsteen on September.

4.-Who where you influenced by?
Mmmm... I think we've been influenced since classic heavy to actual power metal, mainly the german one.

Bloden-Wedd

5.-Are the lyrics based on a special topic or are just inspiration?
Itīs always our inspiration. This allows us to manage lots of topics, for example, the concept of our latest LP was time traveling, so each song was located on a different age of humanity. Now in "Raging Planet",we wanted to talk about the ecological problem wich affects us all,and so whitout being a conceptual LP, every track points to the same direction.

6.-Do you plan to release your album in europe?
Yes. In fact, our label (Toxic Records) is already working on the licence of "Raging Planet" for europe. We donīt want to say anything else about it untill itīs done, but weīre sure the response will be positive

7.-Do you plan to make a tour in the near future(Chile or abroad)?
Yes.The "Raging Planet" promotion contemplates several dates in Chile. In the other hand, we already have offers to play in Lima & Arequipa (both of this cities in Peru).

8.-What represented to share stage with Rhapsody?
It was very important for us, because we learned a lot. It was a great work experience and it has opened us lots of doors.Like this interview.

9.-Any final words?
Iīd like to thank Mighty Warrior for this interview. I will also invite you to visit our website http://www.bloden-wedd.com to contact us & to take concience about the care and respect we must have for nature, animals & life in our planet.
