We interviewed the swedish band MORIFADE, a great band that impressed everybody with "Possession of Power".They just finished their latest upcoming album "Imaginarium", recorded at Andy LaRocque Studios. So we contacted them for a short interview, here´s what Stefan Petersson, the singer, answered in name of the band.

1.-Who where you influenced by?
Our main influences are older metal acts like Dio, Iron Maiden, Helloween, but we listen to a lot of new metal bands as well

2.-What represents to the band to work with such a great musician like Andy LaRocque?
Andy is a great guitarist and producer and most of all, a terrific person to work with and we are very fortunate to record in his studio

Morifade

3.-What does the band plans to do,to promote the  latest album("Imaginarium")when released?
We had a lot of problems promoting P.o.P since our label couldn´t handle the situation. Our new label Hammerheart seems to be better prepared and more interested in making the record sell.

4.-Is there any chance you would come to southamerica soon?
We haven´t got our tourprogram complete yet but it seems like we´ll be touring Europe first. If we get the chance to go to South America we´d be thrilled! Quite a lot of fans from over there have written us on our homepage(www.morifade.com)which is fantastic.

5.-Would the new guitarrist´s style change the band style in this new record?
The new guitarist Robin Arnell (Kim´s younger brother by the way) is an extremly talented musician and I think you will find that his
solos differ from Jespers in many ways,  they´re more bluesy and have a different melodic structure. He is also a great singer (used to sing lead in a band called Fatal Glory) and he has really improved our backing vocal sessions, both on record and on stage.

6.-In wich matter is the new album, different to your debut?
I´d say this record is more aggressive, more metal in a certain sense of the word. the sound is definitly heavier and my vocals are still high pitched but I also sing dark and whispery. I wanted to use the whole capacity of my vioce and I´m quite pleased with the result.

7.-What are the band plans for the near future?
We´ll work on promoting "Imaginarium" rehearse the live set and play a few festivals here in Sweden. It will be fun trying out the new material on the crowds, see if they like it as much as we do.

8.-Any final words?
Watch out for the new awesome cd "Imaginarium" in february, it will most certainly be that ultimate metal album I know you guys have been waiting for!
Cheers to all South American metalions from Morifade!
