The true Power of Weiki is Back! Although this isnīt the best Helloween album ever, itīs a releaf to hear some classical German power metal tunes. The European and American Version have 12 tracks, while the nippon one has 13(including a Bonus track:"Madness of the Crows").The Japanese album is a deluxe edition with extra drawings made by Rainer Laws, and photopaper like sheets for the band (and producers)pics. The first edition has even stickers.
But the european and american edition are kinda rough, with no extra stuff or whatsoever. Returning to the album, the best tracks are "All over the Nations","We Damn the Night","Salvation","The Dark ride" being all Power metal at itīs best with almost anthem like choruses and weikath-grapows great solos. There are some cools tracks also, starting with the intro"Beyond the portal", a truly -Evil dead sequel soundtrack- and "Mr torture" one of those funny helloweenīs stories in the line of "Dr. Stein".But not everything is as sharp as those initial tracks, "Escalation 666","Mirror,Mirror" and "I live for your Pain" are some "Time of the Oath" leftovers."Inmortal" and "If I could fly" are two Andi Deris slow songs, reflecting his "Iīm so bored of life" attitude, not meaning to be terrible or unstandable but not quite enough for a helloween album. The other tracks "The departed(sun is going down)" is a regular Uli Kusch Song sticky and easy to remember. The bonus Track is no worth the effort of buying the japanese import, but the booklet is just beatiful,so buy it if possible. In Resume a cool album with some Kai Hansenīs kinda Tracks and Weikath experimental stuff( Donīt expect Dream theather)
Score: 8/10
