HAIL AND KILL!!! The Kings of Metal are back!! The long awaited new album of Joey DiMaio & Co is already in my hands. We had to wait 6 long years to enjoy a new album filled with strength, power and energy. First thing to say; astonishing cover, another Ken Kelly masterpiece.Well enough said let's talk about the songs. The album start with "Call to Arms" a classic Manowar song and a perfect way to introduce you to such a great album. Eric 's voice is as sharp as always and this track has one of the best lyrics from the album. Then comes "Fight for Freedom" a very possitive song about freedom and the peolple who fought for it. It's the "Carry on" from this album. After that "Nessun Dorma" the fantastic aria everyone will recognize. Eric's performance is terrific! To hear such an opera classic played so good by the Kings of Metal is just an incredible experience. Then comes an intro called "Valhalla" followed by "Swords in the Wind" a marvelous epic song any Manowar fan will love inmediatly, a true new classic! The 6th track is "An american Trilogy" a tribute to Elvis. This may be the only song that doesn't fits in the album.I don't know the reasons to include "Dixieland" in a Manowar album but it's a bit too "USA" for me. Anyway it doesn't suck so let's keep reviewing. The next one is "The march" a great classic instrumental track (altought it sounds a bit computer generated). Now comes the first single and title track of the album; "Warriors of the World United" a battle hymn wich surprises anyone because of it's simplicity and strength. This one is really catchy so don't get surprised if you begin to sing it during work, lunch or even when you're drunk! Now comes the energetic part of the album. Those fast songs filled with doble bass drums every headbangers likes. "Hand of doom" and it's amazing energy and outstanding lyrics make of this song a merciless battle chant! The next song, "The House of Death" is the wildest song in the album even more energetic than "Power" this is certainly one mean piece of true metal! Specially when the song ends and Eric  keeps singing like a berserk warrior. To finish the album,"Fight until we die" another classic Manowar tune destined to make your brain explode! In my opinion this is a great album. Maybe not the best one, but still in the top five. After so many years waiting I just wanted to know if the Kings of Metal kept loyal to their fans, and they did!
This album has a bunch of new classics everyone will be talking about in the years to come, and also a comeback to the viking related lyrics. True Metal from the Kings to the Army of Inmortals,Hail to the Kings!!!
Score:9/10
