PICTURES ť CAMPING PERLENAU (D) AND TRIPS IN THE AREA

A collection of pics made at our regular spot at camping Perlenau near Monschau, or on trips in the area.
In January we came to check up on the camper and made pics of the high water, quite a difference from the bit of water in the creek in the summer! In March the campsite opened for the season and at our first visit we took some pics of our beautiful spot on the tents area, where we were still all alone at that time. We made a wooden floor to put in the tent in front of our camper, to keep our feet dry when it has been raining etc. In April we put a bit of carpet in the tent and we made our first hike over the hill and through the forest to Monschau. It's a pretty path with some nice viewpoints. There was also a canoe race near Monschau and the canoers also passed the campsite, the water level was raised by letting more water through at the dam 1 km upwards. In June Cora came to visit one weekend, she took some pics. On the July pics you can see how busy the tents area can be in the high season! We also took pics with the family Loeffen that were our neighbours for this one season. In August it was quiet again and at the end of the month we went to the open air museum in Kommern, as you can see at the end of this collection.
