BIO

Vince Neil was born Vincent Neil Wharton on February 8, 1961 in Hollywood, CA. Vince was the last to join Motley and he actually blew off the first audition because things where going pretty well with his band Rock Candy. A few weeks later Vince was asked to audition again and this time he came right over!

Mick Mars was born Bob Deal in Terre Haute, IN on April 3, 1956. His family moved to California when he was eight years old. Nikki and Tommy spotted an ad placed in the Recylcer which read "Loud, aggressive, rude guitarist available." Mick was signed on the spot!

Nikki Sixx was born Frank Carlton Serafino Feranna (not Ferrano like previously reported due to the Rolling Stone misprint in '87) was born December 11, 1958 in San Jose, CA. He was raised in Seattle, WA by his grandmother. At the age of 17, he sold his guitars and took a bus to Los Angeles, where he began hanging out at local clubs and playing with various bands. In February 1981 Nikki left the band London and started a new band with Tommy Lee who had been introduced by a mutual friend.

Randy Castillo In April of '99 Randy gets a call from Sharon Osbourn telling him that Motley Crue is looking for a new drummer (how ironic!) and that he should call Nikki. Randy and Nikki talk on the phone for a while then Nikki asks if he can call back in a few minutes. Nikki calls Mick and Vince to find out what they think of Randy then he calls Randy back to offer him the job... no audition... no demo's... How Motley!
