BIOGRAPHY

GOTHIC KNIGHTS have a common bond with brother band ZANDELLE. George Tsalikis (now lead vocalist of ZANDELLE) fronted GOTHIC KNIGHTS in their early days. After a mutual parting, Rick joined the group, and the Knights were on their way. After hearing their demo tape, metal veteran Denis Gulby decided to front the band some much needed cash and aid in their recording of their first release, under his newly formed record label Sentinel Steel. Says Denins in our interview, May 2000, "It was just timing. The second magazine issue of Sentinel Steel had been published with an enthusiastic GOTHIC KNIGHTS demo review. My little 80's metal mailorder business was REALLY picking up and I actually had a nice savings account at the bank. The GOTHIC KNIGHTS had been preparing for their debut CD but got screwed by a studio and were broke. I was blown away by the rough mixes of the material and with money in hand a deal was struck. Those were magical times."

Continued success found its way to the Knighrs. After promoting and getting the word out, "Kingdom of the Knights" was released, under the Sentinel Steel record label. New front man Bryan Avatar graced the microphone, giving the knights a slightly different sound. Several shows were played, yet the Knights found themselves dealing with some troubles. Bryan was now out of the band, and Rick had joined back. The old Knights sound was back!

Looking to add diversity to their sound, founding member John Tsantakis decides to search for a keyboard player and second guitarist. Having been influenced by the likes of Rhapsody, Stratovarius, and Helloween, this was just the next step for the band to take.

Bone crushing, fist pounding, head banging music is what the Gothic Knights are all about. Their music is both captivating and inspiring.
