~BOW TO NO TRENDS~
Formed and based in Central New Jersey by Guitarists Frank and Joe Adamo, with long time friend and Drummer Collin Bianchi....Legion began writing and recording demos that would become "Shadow of the King" in the fall of 1999. Determined on creating a hard driving, powerful and melodic style (while drawing heavy influence from 70's and early 80's Hard Rock and Heavy Metal)....The LEGION sound of harmony guitars, driving rhythms, thunderous drums and melodic solos was born....Seeking to expand the project into a complete group, the band began searching for a suitable Vocalist. After numerous auditions and many failed line-up attempts....Legion finally found Vocalist Mike Bunk in early 2001. After just one rehearsal (comprised mainly of the bands favorite H/R and H/M classics) Mike Bunk was immediately offered and accepted an ivitation to join the band. Legion then set off to create the album "Shadow of the King"....In the summer of 2004 the band printed a four song demo as a sampler of the album. Inspired by the many favorable reviews of the demo....Legion finished recording and mixing the album in early 2005....June 15, 2005 saw the offical self-release of "Shadow of the King"....With rave reviews both overseas and abroad....Legion was offered a spot on the German "Heavy" Magazine's Metal Crusade XI CD sampler (with the track "Medicine Man" being the bands contribution)....In late 2005 Majestic Rock Records contacted the band with plans to re-release and re-master the album in both Europe and Japan....the band accepted the offer and the deal was completed in January 2006....The band is currently writing and rehearsing material for the follow up album....as well as awaiting the re-release of "Shadow of the King" in Europe and Japan on Majestic Rock Records....with live dates and tour plans soon to follow.
