BYFIST INKS RECORD DEAL WITH ROCK IT UP RECORDS IN GERMANY Articles / Bands' News Date: Oct 30, 2007 - 06:24 PM BYFIST, the band featuring Davey Lee and Nacho Vara of Seattle's REVEREND, will have their new album, "Preserving the Past", released in Europe via Germany's Rock It Up Records. The effort was remastered by 9250AV (formerly Cyberella) for the now-defunct MetalAges Records and will contain three previously released EPs combined into one full-length CD. According to a press release, BYFIST shunned the glam metal scene by delivering a raw, no-fluff, and no-frills metal in the vein of early JUDAS PRIEST. Over the years the band released more EPs, including "Hour Glass of Time" (1987) "You Should Have Known" (1988) and "Adrenalin" (1989). "Adrenalin", was produced by David Wayne (METAL CHURCH, REVEREND), and was originally recorded at Silver Cloud Studios in California with Joe Floyd of WARRIOR. Critics have compared BYFIST to the likes of ARMORED SAINT, early ANTHRAX and METAL CHURCH, among many other historic thrash metal bands. BYFIST had the opportunity to tour with bands such as MSG, FATES WARNING, MANOWAR, FRANK MARINO, SAVATAGE, and TROUBLE. Several of the remastered songs can be heard at www.byfist.com.
