Description & history: Like their fellow countrymen the Scorpions, Accept did their best work in
relative obscurity -- once they broke through as a world-famous band their albums tended to sound more
mainstream-ish. Accept's finest moment was Restless And Wild, featuring a good mix of power and speed metal
with just enough accessibility to keep it all together. The last album I actually heard was Balls To The Wall
which I found to be disappointing -- I therefore have little knowledge of the band's more recent offerings
(except for reviews that I've read). Udo recorded four albums with his own band (U.D.O.) during the time he was
away from the band. The band broke up early in 1997 -- at that time, I had heard that Udo has reformed U.D.O.,
and that old drummer Stefan Kaufmann (who had left the band earlier due to illness) is with him, as a rhythm
guitarist. Meanwhile, Wolf Hoffman has recently released a solo album, Classical, in Japan.
