Description & history: While still in Iron Maiden, Dickinson did his firs solo album with future Maiden member Gers, and other musicians. Then he left Maiden, "borrowed" musicians from Tribe of Gypsies and did Balls to Picasso. Next album should have been the first of a new band called Skunkworks, but being quite "alternative" didn't sell much and Dickinson left the band that didn't want to change genre. His two latest albums, played by the Balls to Picass musicians and Adrian Smith go back to traditional Heavy Metal sounds. Now that Dickinson and Smith are back in Iron Maiden it seems that they will be always allowed to play solo albums, but of course less often than before.
